Stays wip1

I got a little annoyed about the yellow dress for Belle in the new Beauty and the Beast. I've been studying costume for stage and screen for a year, with production arts including costume for a year before that. I'm halfway through my HND so Im not like the most qualified or anything but I've learned a fair amount.

I decided, with the permission of my partner, to Redesign Belle and make a version of my own - with them modelling. I also have a design for beast lined up but Belle was the more pressing matter to me. 

Here are her stays after 2 days of half working on them. I'm just getting them ready for fitting so they arent going to have the top fabric on for quite a while yet. But while I wait for a fitting I'll work on the under petticoat, the pocket hoops and the top petticoat. We already have a chemise ready.
